JUST A WORD

August 25, 2010
Hey everyone, it’s been a while.  Been busy with my new book( hope you all have your copy) if not go to Amazon or B&N, etc. And working on the sequel to a voice behind thunder.  It will be finished soon, so everyone can finally find out what’s going on with Rachel and Donovan.
Well I’m back with more thoughtful notes so Check out Live, Love and Laugh. i want to do more with you guys on this site but I need a computer wiz.  if you have any suggestions drop me a note.

Finally, readers will discover what happens to Rachel and Donovan in the new sequel to A Voice Behind Thunder.  Here a little taste of what’s coming up…

Soulin, Atlanta’s Hottest Night Life”, flickered in red letters on the neon sign perched high above the club’s entrance. Jason Williams noticed the sign as he stepped out of the rental car. Men and women clothed in glittery garb lined the sidewalk, waiting to get inside.  The line stretched around the block.

I’m impressed, he thought handing the car keys to a valet.  He strutted to the front of the line.  One of the two  men standing at the doorway, blocked  him from going any further. He strained to see above the man’s waistline.

“Hi, I’m here to see Charlie.”

“Everybody wants to see Charlie. You need to go to the back of the line.  People don’t like it when you try to jump over them.”   .

“You think I’m trying to push my way past these good people?  I wouldn’t do that”.  “My name is Jason Williams and I’m a friend of Charlie’s from New York.”   He stretched out his hand hoping the friendly gesture would ease the building tension between the two of them.

The guard ignored his hand,  “Look, don’t make a scene, follow the instructions, and go to the end of the line.”  The bouncer flexed his swollen biceps and pointed toward the back of the line. He was clearly annoyed.

“Ok Mr. Rambo let me run this by you.” The other gentleman guarding the door was curious to know what was happening.  He stopped to listen to their conversation.

“I believe you have a V.I.P list and I’ve noticed that you haven’t  looked to see if my name is on that list.  Now, there may be a tiny possibility that my name, Jason Fizgerald Williams, is on that list, and that Charlie really is my friend.  If that’s the case and  you’ve failed to even check it out,  then when I  get inside-and I will- get inside… you will be out of a job and I’ll be interviewing someone to replace you.   Rest assured, you will never work in another night club in Atlanta. So let’s start over.  My name is Jason Fitzgerald Williams and I’m here to see my friend,  Charlie.”
